Our beloved Public Library is having some amazing events coming up in the next few days! The first one will take place today Dec 14th From 6pm-8pm. The event is called “December’s Page to Screen Movie- Angels Sing”. The Movie Angels Sing was based on a book called, “When Angels Sing” by Turk Pipkin. The Movie was released in 2013 featuring Harry Connick Jr., Connie Britton, Lyle Lovett, Willie Nelson, and Kris Kristofferson.
Next on Dec. 15th Local Illustator ,Mary Reaves Uhles, will be visiting the Library! Mary has illustrated many books such as THE TWELVE DAY OF CHRISTMAS IN TENNESSEE, KOOKY CRUMBS, A TUBA CHRISTMAS, and THE LITTLE KID’S TABLE. She has done many things in her career, but at the beginning she worked as a freelance illustrator. She did work as an animator on projects for Warner Brothers and Fisher Price Interactive. During her visit there will be story time & crafts from 10am-10:30am for toddlers and pre-k. Then from 11am- 12:45pm there will be a program for school age kids!
Finally on Dec. 21 from 9am- 5pm the library will be hosting an open house. There will be caroling, hot cocoa, snacks, and more! The open house will be held in the library’s Welch Room. You are more than welcome to bring a friend and enjoy the fun! This will be an all day event.
